I finally got all of the 2007 pictures labeled and burned to CDs. Now I can play catch up with the 2008 pictures. We have been busy celebratinf birthdays, flying kites, and geocaching. Here are some highlights ...
The girls prepared gift bags for their classmates on the Saturday before their birthday. We put out the candy, but they counted and stuffed the bags themselves. Unfortunately Miss never got one of the bags because hse had to miss the school party. She was home sick. She did get her own party the next week, with a cake and drinks but no new candy bags.
January 16 marked our girls' FOURTH birthday! It doesn't seem so long ago that we were driving back and forth to the NICU to see those cute little things. They woke on their birthday ready to open presents. It was hard to get them to stop long enough to even drink some milk just to get something in their stomachs! Miss S was sick, but made the best of it.
It was a big baking day as Daddy helped the girls make the pound cake for their party at home. Then they tried to make cupcakes. It took me several days to get the burned up stuff out of the oven. We still needed something for Miss M to take to school the next day for the party there so they made another marble pound cake. They made the same thing for Sarah to take the following week, and the teacher was very happy when she saw the cake. She commented on how much she had enjoyed the first one. And today she asked me for the recipe for the cake!
