Once Upon A Time

Once upon a time there were two princesses who were celebrating their birthday. Now these princesses had the right idea because their birthday celebrations had been going on for over a week. Things started off with a Princess Party in the US thrown by the Honorable AuntieW and Cousin C. Unfortunately the Queen neglected to get the proofs from the Royal Photographer before leaving the US, so she has no pictures to share. It was quite an event though, if one can believe the stories. Streamer everywhere, special crowns, and cake for everyone.
Here are the princesses trying to decide what to wear to the next big even on their birthday celebration calendar.

Once back in France, the princesses had to take matter into their own hands. They were forced to "assist" the King/Royal Baker while he made their Special Birthday Cake as well as plan the Birthday Dinner menu for the Queen.

The Princesses woke in good moods on the actual day of their birth, and were excited to go to school. It seems that several other Princes and Princesses had birthdays this week, and were celebrating at school. There were lots of people to wish our princesses Happy Birthday, including the nice ladies who prepare their lunch. The Princesses came home from school very happy little people.
On the night of their birthday, the princesses had to set the table for their own feast! Luckily AuntieW had sent plates and napkins suitable for the princesses. There is no telling what the Queen might have found to serve the Birthday Dinner and Special Birthday Cake on.
The Queen and King/Royal Baker were prepared with candles though. They used the pretty butterflies sent by AuntieW to flank the mundane blue candles on their Special Birthday cake. It was quite festive.
Then it was 1-2-3 BLOW!
Here is the inside of the Special Birthday Cake. The Queen must take a moment to compliment the King/Royal Baker and the Princesses on their efforts. It was a superb cake.
Princess M demanded a HUGE piece of cake (more than even the King was eating), and managed to finish most of it. Wow! And so it was with full tummies and happy hearts that the Princesses retired for another night to prepare for the next round of festivities.
The princesses woke on the morning after their birthday to sunshine and happy faces. Today was the day of their party! Princess MK was coming from a neighboring kingdom to celebrate with the princesses! she and her mother, Queen JK, were coming for lunch and more Special Birthday Cake.
Here are the princess opening gifts from the King and Queen. The received snow globes with angels inside that play "Jesus Loves Me," a princess puzzle, and a princess castle for their Barbies.

Princess MK gave them lots of Dora the Explorer stuff! There is a tree house with a swing and a see-saw, and a greenhouse that talks and had gardening stuff for Dora.
After the gift unwrapping, Princess M and Princess MK worked on a large Cinderella puzzle while Princess S, snuggled in Queen JK's arms, directed.
Now, the princesses are sleeping sweetly, hopefully dreaming of all of the fun they have had this week.
