Let's go fly a kite

We woke to a beautiful day - sunshine, mild temperatures, and a light breeze. Perfect conditions for flying our new Christmas kite. Last year Santa brought a beautiful kite, but we quickly learned that it was too complex for the girls to fly. The Husband even had trouble controlling it. This year Santa fixed that problem. He brought the girls a more simple kite, and today was the perfect time to test it out. We chose to go in shifts (Miss S had some issues with putting on her hiking boots and had to stay home for the first round). Daddy took Miss M, and they had a blast! Good job, Santa!

We had a good Christmas Day despite all of the illness running rampant in our house. The girls woke up happy, and were so excited to see all of the gifts under the tree, and on the table, and piled all over the floor. They spent the first few minutes running back and forth between their stockings and the tree. It was fun. Lots of things about that day were fun. More details will follow with some pictures.
